Level Up Your Bridge – Class Starts Monday, January 26, 2026 – SOLD OUT

Join Aaron Balleisen for a 7-week class for social players (including Game Day regulars).
The class will assume prior knowledge of basic rules and experience bidding and playing hands. You do not need prior knowledge of specific bidding conventions. Every hand we discuss will build on what you already know and sharpen your strategic reasoning. Come learn, play, and have fun!
Sample topics include hand evaluation; categories of bids; bidding inferences; leads at beginning and middle of the hand; defensive signaling; thinking ahead as declarer.

About Instructor Aaron Balleisen
Aaron joined Beth Shalom in 2024 after moving to Pittsburgh to begin a Ph.D. in Decision Science at CMU. He started playing bridge tournaments at age 10, and has competed in national and international events. He will represent the Pittsburgh region at the 2026 North American Pairs championships. He loves teaching bridge to strategists of all levels.
