Pre-Benei Mitzvah Dates for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Families: Workshops and Retreat for 2026
Mark GoodmanBeth Shalom families who have an upcoming bar/bat/benei mitzvah are invited and encouraged to attend a wide variety of fun programs meant to make your family’s simcha as meaningful and communal as possible.
Sixth grade families have a kickoff shabbat dinner followed by three workshops, as well as taking part in our fabulous retreat.
Fifth and sixth grade families are invited on our retreat.
Fourth grader families will have an informational zoom meeting April 19, 2026. This is the first opportunity for families to sign up for a benei mitzvah date.
Here are our dates for all of our 2025 benei mitzvah programming:
- Friday Evening, January 9, 2026, 6 to 8 pm – Sixth Graders, their parents & siblings –
- Services and Shabbat Dinner for Pre-Benei Mitzvah Families
- Monday evening, February 2, 2026, 7:30 pm, via Zoom. For parents of fifth and sixth graders.
- Come learn about our annual Pre-Benei Mitzvah Retreat, which will be at Emma Kaufman Camp May 16-18!
- Sunday, February 22, 2026, 12:30 to 2:15 pm – Sixth Graders & their parents –
- Benei Mitzvah Workshop #1 and Pizza Lunch
- Sunday, March 22, 2026, 12:30 to 2:15 pm – Sixth Graders & their parents –
- Benei Mitzvah Workshop #2 and Pizza Lunch
- Sunday Afternoon, April 26, 2026 12:30 to 2:15 pm – Sixth Graders & their parents –
- Benei Mitzvah #3 and Pizza Lunch
