Masterclass: Amidah – Starts Sunday, November 9, 2025

Expand your ability to read and understand Hebrew, and explore the themes and ideas of the central prayer in Judaism, with Rabbi Mark Asher Goodman.

Masterclass: Amidah is intended for students with beginner/intermediate Hebrew and an interest in learning more about the Amidah, Judaism’s most important prayer. In this class, we will cover the beginning and middle sections of the weekday – sometimes known as the Shmoneh Esrei – as well as the middle section of the Shabbat Amidah.

This course takes place over eight (8) weeks, with two breaks for holidays, in-person on Sunday evenings from 6pm to 7pm, in the Lehman Center [Beth Shalom Second Floor]. Classes meet November 9, November 16, November 23, December 7, December 14, December 21, January 4 and January 11.
