06/07/20: C&C Theatre Talk

We invite you to join us in reading and discussing the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Angels in America: Millennium Approaches by Tony Kushner. Angels in America takes place in another time, not too far away from our own, and in another pandemic: HIV affected millions of Americans who struggled to survive, love, and heal in the midst of a debilitating disease. 

 

Participants are asked to register ahead of time to Rabbi Markiz at jmarkiz@bethshalompgh.org and engage in a discussion about the themes, ideas, relevance, and theatricality from this play. Even though gathering to see theatre is currently impossible, the canon of great American theatre still lives on the page for us to read, contemplate, and discuss with one another.
