The ninth day of the the month of Av is the most mournful day of the Jewish year, a container for virtually every tragedy that has occurred in our history. The whole community is invited to join Rabbi Adelson and Rabbi Freedman as they facilitate a discussion titled “Survive or Thrive: How the Jews have navigated cataclysm and rebuilding, then and now.”

Minhah – 7:45 p.m.
Light Refreshments* – 8:00 p.m.
Text Study / Discussion – 8:15 p.m.
Ma’ariv begins – 9:15 p.m.
Reading of Eikhah – 9:30 p.m.
Conclusion of Ma’ariv – 10:00 p.m.
*Food may be eaten until 8:45 p.m.
