Dear Friends,
It was an honor to share some thoughts with you after Rabbi Adelson and Hanna Adelson chanted Kol Nidre so beautifully. I hope that you were able to find a quiet moment to think about your internal storage unit and reflect upon the memories, both sorrowful and sweet, from the last year and determine which you will carry with you into this year.
I am appealing to you for your financial generosity. As I requested in my talk, please do not rely upon the person next to you. If you have never contributed, please make this year the year you begin a new tradition of giving to your high holiday appeal. If you gave last year, please consider giving just a little more. Whether it is $18 or $1800, your participation and help are vital.
Your generosity will allow us to continue to honor and support our tremendous Rabbis, Executive Director, and professionals who maintain this historic building, who care for our cemetery, who organize and execute Derekh and Youth activities, who support us with such tender pastoral care and guidance and, of course, who ensure that you can come to your spiritual home and have a clean, safe space in which to reflect and pray.
In closing, thank you for choosing to be a part of the Beth Shalom community. Thank you for your past generosity and thank you for continuing to support Beth Shalom as we move together into the future.
May this coming year be full of sweetness, meaning, good health and, above all, peace for you, your family, and our entire community.
Shanah Tovah,
Paul Teplitz
President
