- Reduce Beth Shalom’s electricity bill by ~ $14,000 annually.
- Solar renewable energy credits (SRECs) for additional revenue to Beth Shalom.
- Promote other CBS efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (e.g., energy audit, LED lighting, etc.)
- Educational example for our membership and our larger East End community (e.g., link to STEM education in our local schools).
- Community leadership. Provide a template for other non-profit institutions considering solar.
- Support the City’s Climate Action Plan 3.0 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 50% by 2030.
- Replace the leaking roof over the ELC
- Tikkun Olam, repair the world.
