2022 Volunteer Awards Brunch Nomination Form

Lester A. Hamburg Member of the Year

This award honors a member who embodies volunteerism, leadership & a long history of participation within the congreg-ation. The candidate must be a member of Congregation Beth Shalom in good standing. Nominees may include Board Members, Life Members of the Board and committee chairpersons. Past Presidents and former officers who have not served in an elected position in the past ten years are also eligible. Honorary Presidents shall be eligible 5 years after their election. Current Officers of the congregation are not eligible.

Ethel & Bernard Halpern Young Leadership

This award recognizes a young leader in our congregational family who has set an example of volunteerism and decision-making.

Nathan E. Snader Distinguished Service

This award rewards a member who has demonstrated exemplary service and dedication to Congregation Beth Shalom and the larger Jewish community. Past Presidents, Honorary Presidents, & Officers of the Congregation are not eligible.

Pittsburgh Jewish Chronicle Volunteer of the Year

This award celebrates a member of whose devotion and involvement has positively impacted Congregation Beth Shalom & Pittsburgh's Jewish community.

Daniel M. Plaut Youth Service Award

This award recognizes a youth who epitomizes volunteerism & leadership within Congregation Beth Shalom and the larger Jewish community.
