Join Rabbi Adelson on the first Tuesday of each month for Lunch and Learn. This year’s subject will be "The Origins of Zionism".

The State of Israel declared independence on May 14, 1948, but the idea of establishing a modern state in the historical land of the Jewish people is much older. From a historical yearning for Zion, the hope of 2,000 years, the modern political movement emerged in the 19^th century. We’ll read and discuss some classic works of early Zionist thinkers with an eye to understanding how it all unfolded.
