Introduction to Judaism

In collaboration with Temple Sinai, Rodef Shalom, and other Pittsburgh area synagogues, Derekh presents Introduction to Judaism.
Intro to Judaism is a 24-week course, split into 3 units, that explores the literature, history, traditions, and spiritual foundations of the Jewish religion. The course welcomes anyone interested in growing in their knowledge of our faith who would like a nuanced, egalitarian, and beginner-intermediate course on Judaism. Teachers are drawn from rabbis and Jewish professionals in and around Pittsburgh. Classes take place on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 pm EST, and are offered in hybrid format - both online and in-person.
The first unit begins September 30 and concludes November 18.
The second unit begins December 2 and concludes February 3.
The third unit dates to be determined.
Students must join at the beginning of each unit, but can take the class in whichever order they like - the first unit will repeat at some point not long after the third unit concludes.
Cost: $100 per person/$150 per couple per 8-week unit or $250 per person/$360 per couple for all three units.
