Shabbat Shi'ur - Climate Change and the Torah (Jan. 12th, 2019)

Saturday, January 12, 2019

12:45 P.M. | Helfant Chapel

Climate change is happening - its effects are already being felt in Pittsburgh and across the globe. Global initiatives, such as the Paris Agreement, seek to limit the global temperature rise, but can they be effective in their present form? And what responsibility do Torah Jews have to address this challenge?

Mr. Schwartz has decades of experience from across the US energy industry in the management of project-based energy businesses, including playing a key role in creating renewable energy, carbon offset, and carbon capture and storage solutions. He offers his unique perspective on this global problem.
