Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Kate attended The George Washington University where she earned her BA in International Affairs.  After university, Kate spent time teaching English in Thailand, and then worked based out of Washington, DC, providing support to international student leadership summits around the United States.  Missing the classroom, Kate moved abroad again to South Korea, where she taught for four years.  Kate is excited to have settled in Pittsburgh, where she has been working with the Joint Jewish Education program since 2015, supporting an amazing group of educators and their students. Kate lives in Monroeville with her husband, Doohwan, their daughter, Jia, and dachshund, Molly.
